So yesterday me and C were shopping after work in a... well known fashion chain shall we say. I happened to see a jacket which I liked the look of (above) after seeing a similar one in a store which just had a sale but didn't have the money for, I spend about... 10 minutes looking for a mirror in the whole place to find one right near the entrance (to be honest if you're taking your jacket off around the entrance and trying on clothes, It sort of makes you feel paranoid that the staff will feel like you're shoplifting.
Anyway. I try this jacket on and it is quite big on me, but the worst part is it was a size SMALL. Yes. A small was too big on me. We went and looked around to find there were no XS sized clothing at all, not just the jackets but t-shirts etc. They had XL, XXL so why not XS? Even on their website they only have 4 jackets in XS. But look how many massive there are!
But this isn't the first time this has happened. I've been somewhere in the same situation, try the hoodie/t shirt/shirt on and it's big on me but is the smallest size. Looking at me I'm not tiny. I've seen people slimmer than me etc but they have perfectly (albeit maybe too tight in places, you look like a douche) clothing. So what's the answer?Bulk up? I can't imagine me working out just so I can fit into bigger clothing, Isn't is usually the other way around? There's still many places that offer XS and even XXS but part of the deal should be the price, I shouldn't have to pay over the odds for clothing that fits me like it should.
Needless to say I didn't buy the jacket. Which was a shame because I really liked it. I need to lay my Gilet to rest.
